Demon Hunter Brings “There Was a Light Here” Tour to The Rock Box This Fall
"This tour isn’t just a celebration of new material—it’s a full-circle moment for longtime fans"
San Antonio will play host to a major moment in heavy music this fall as Demon Hunter rolls into town for their There Was a Light Here Tour. The show lands at The Rock Box on Saturday, September 27, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated metal events of the year.
Known for their rare ability to merge punishing heaviness with introspective, melodic songwriting, Demon Hunter has spent the last two decades pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a faith-driven band in the metal scene. Emerging in the early 2000s with a sound that blended metalcore, groove metal, and alternative influences, the band carved out their own lane—equal parts conviction and catharsis
Their latest single, “Sorrow Light the Way,” dropped earlier this year and offers a powerful preview of the emotional and sonic depth fans can expect on this tour. Produced by frontman Ryan Clark and longtime collaborator Jeremiah Scott, and mixed/mastered by metal legend Zeuss, the track builds on the intensity of earlier singles “I’m Done” and “Light Bends.” The material shows Demon Hunter at their most refined: emotionally raw, sonically brutal, and lyrically unflinching.

Joining them are War of Ages, Convictions, and Cultist, making this one of the strongest heavy music lineups to hit San Antonio this year.

This tour isn’t just a celebration of new material—it’s a full-circle moment for longtime fans, offering a chance to reconnect with a band that has defined and redefined heavy music with purpose.
