Fit for a King Sells Out San Antonio on Lonely God Tour
Vibes Event Center reached full capacity on Saturday, December 6, 2025, as Fit For a King brought the Lonely God Tour to San Antonio with support from Currents, Spite, and 156/Silence. The sold-out show followed the release of the band’s newest album, Lonely God, a record that critics have framed as both a reset and a sharpening of their approach. Distorted Sound described the album as a “course correction” toward more focused songwriting and thematic clarity (Distorted Sound Magazine, 2025).

The performance emphasized new material, aligning with how the band has spoken about the current era. In a recent feature for Knotfest, vocalist Ryan Kirby outlined the album’s direction as a return to fundamentals, free of outside expectation and designed to reconnect with their core audience (“no gods, no expectations,” as the band phrased it) (Knotfest). That framing matched the structure of Saturday’s set, which placed the newest songs at the center of the performance.
Currents delivered direct support, continuing their run as one of the most visible bands within the modern metalcore landscape. Their presence brought a melodic contrast that has defined their recent tours. Spite followed with a set rooted in heavier, more abrasive rhythm work, while 156/Silence opened the evening with a concise performance —still growing their influence in central Texas.

The sold-out event reflected the sustained interest in Fit For a King’s latest chapter. With Lonely God marking a new point in the band’s catalogue, the tour has functioned as both an introduction to the record and a reaffirmation of their place within the genre.
This was a direct represention of the group’s new direction—unadorned, tightly structured, and grounded in the material shaping their current identity for years to come. We just hope they’ll come back for another round next year.
