On October 7, Paris-born progressive metalcore act Novelists will descend on The Rock Box, delivering a rare U.S. performance that San Antonio won’t want to miss.

The show lands just months after the release of their new single “Coda,” a track that Guitar World called “a refined, hard-hitting reminder of the band’s technical mastery and melodic weight” source. Known for complex arrangements and emotional clarity, the French quartet has been steadily building a cult following among fans of modern metal and post-hardcore since their 2015 debut Souvenirs.

Now with a sharpened sound and lineup that includes the return of longtime guitarist Florestan Durand, Novelists have redefined their approach—leaner, darker, and more direct. “Coda” doesn’t just showcase their guitar work, it signals a shift in tone—rawer, less polished, but more impactful. The band has been vocal about embracing simplicity in structure while pushing clarity in production, ditching older habits in favor of a leaner sonic punch.

This marks one of their few Texas appearances in recent years, and Twin Productions is making sure it lands with maximum force.
