Sevendust Brings Hard Rock Heat to the Aztec This December

San Antonio will get a dose of pure hard rock adrenaline this winter as Sevendust returns to the Alamo City for a headlining performance at the Aztec Theatre on Friday, December 12.

With a career that spans nearly three decades, Sevendust has earned its place as one of the most respected and enduring acts in modern rock. Formed in Atlanta in the mid-’90s, the band quickly set themselves apart with a sound that married heavy grooves, introspective lyrics, and soaring melodic hooks. Tracks like "Denial," "Black," and "Enemy" became anthems of their era, while recent releases like Blood & Stone and Truth Killer have shown a band still evolving—with tighter musicianship, deeper emotion, and the same relentless energy that’s defined their legacy.

Their live shows are nothing short of explosive. Frontman Lajon Witherspoon’s powerful vocals and undeniable presence, combined with the thunderous rhythm section and searing guitars, make a Sevendust set feel both cathartic and electrifying.

Joining them is Cory Marks, an artist known for straddling the line between outlaw country and hard rock. His unique blend of gritty vocals, southern storytelling, and driving riffs offers a fresh twist that fits surprisingly well in a heavy lineup. Known for songs like "Outlaws & Outsiders," Marks adds a new flavor to the night without straying too far from its high-octane core.

The Aztec Theatre—with its ornate architecture and intimate sightlines—offers the perfect setting for a show that will hit just as hard emotionally as it does sonically.

Doors open at 7PM. Show starts at 8PM. This is an all ages event.
Note: The venue’s mezzanine and balcony seating are accessible by stairs only.
