Thousand Below’s ‘Buried in Jade’ Makes San Antonio Debut

On Monday, September 8, 2025, Thousand Below performed at The Rock Box in San Antonio as part of their Buried in Jade U.S. headline tour. The band is touring in support of their new full-length album, Buried in Jade, which released on August 8, 2025 (Pale Chord).

Their set featured material from the new record, including Palace of Dread, which premiered earlier in the summer with a video released through Kill The Music. The track was noted for its minimal visuals and focus on tone over spectacle. In an August interview with Crunchyroll, the band described their current direction as more withdrawn and internalized.

Joining them on this tour were Swedish metalcore group Aviana, Connecticut-based Dreamwake, and True North. Waves in April opened the night. The lineup has remained consistent throughout the tour.

The San Antonio show was part of a national run that has covered much of the U.S. since August. The tour branding, album visuals, and press cycle have all centered on Buried in Jade, which marks the band’s latest evolution in sound —and we’re not complaining.
