On Friday, October 10, 2025, San Antonio’s Paper Tiger will host an expansive night of experimental rock and atmospheric soundscapes, headlined by The Sounds of Animals Fighting. The genre-defying collective, known for its fluid lineup and avant-garde live performances, is touring in support of a forthcoming record slated for release this fall (Chaoszine).
Formed in the mid-2000s as a side project of RX Bandits members, the group has built a reputation for unpredictable shows, collaborative musicianship, and a catalogue that blends post-hardcore, progressive rock, and abstract electronica. Their current run of dates marks the first sustained touring cycle since the release of new material, including the single Lady of the Cosmos.

Joining them in San Antonio is This Will Destroy You, the Texas-born post-rock outfit whose textured, crescendo-driven compositions have been featured in numerous films and television series. Also on the bill: The Casket Lottery, bringing decades of Midwest emo and indie-rock lineage, and Los Angeles dream-pop trio Soft Blue Shimmer, whose shimmering guitar layers provide a melodic counterpoint to the heavier acts.
