A LOT LIKE BIRDS MARK SHIFT FROM SILENCE WITH LATEST TOUR

Twin Productions is bringing A Lot Like Birds back to San Antonio on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Paper Tiger. Sharing the bill are Dwellings, Zeta, and Mella—three bands linked by sonic experimentation and shared regional circuits.
This will mark a rare reappearance for A Lot Like Birds, who in their earlier days stood out for a restless approach to post-hardcore. Their 2012 release Conversation Piece helped push them into national touring territory, thanks to its off-kilter rhythms and collective vocals that blurred the line between math rock and melodic post-hardcore source. Though the group went through multiple lineup changes over the years, their unpredictable arrangements and distinct voice left a clear mark on the genre.
Joining them is Dwellings, whose writing builds on a similar vocabulary but modernized with tightly wound hooks and polyrhythmic riffing. Zeta, based out of Venezuela but long embedded in the U.S. underground circuit, brings a Latin American hardcore fusion with percussive depth, often trading off melodic math structures for polyrhythmic intensity. Mella, the newest name on the bill, rounds out the lineup with an emphasis on emotionally forward songwriting rooted in melodic punk.
Presented by Twin Productions, this show threads together a cross-section of progressive post-hardcore and experimental punk energy. It’s a one-night convergence of multiple timelines—early 2010s innovation meeting modern voices looking to push beyond form
