Attack Attack! —The Unfiltered Comeback Hits San Antonio
"shedding the genre tropes they helped create in the late 2000s"

After years of reinventions, Attack Attack is stepping back into the national spotlight with more precision and less polish. Their One Hit Wonder Tour stops in San Antonio on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at The Rock Box, bringing a four-band bill that pushes forward without riding novelty coattails.
There’s a lot that’s changed since the band’s early “crabcore” notoriety—most notably, their commitment to letting the music carry its own weight. Their 2025 EP Dark Waves plays less like a throwback and more like a reset. It’s heavy, direct, and self-aware. Prelude Press recently noted the band’s refusal to “coast on legacy alone,” referencing the One Hit Wonder tour’s name with a mix of irony and confrontation source.

At Rockville Festival, The Aquarian reported the band played “with a force that felt rebuilt rather than recycled,” shedding the genre tropes they helped create in the late 2000s. With synths dialed back and live performances that now focus on pacing over gimmick, Attack Attack is touring like a band trying to prove they were never a novelty act to begin with source.

Supporting the tour is Savage Hands, riding momentum from their Rock Bottom release and growing a national audience via radio and SiriusXM’s Octane. Their recent output has leaned more melodic, but live, the band is known for heavier reinterpretations of their studio material.
Versus Me and A Tragic Setback round out the bill, bringing even more fire to an already stacked night. Don’t miss your chance to catch this one live—September 9th at The Rock Box is where the chaos kicks off.
