GWAR BRINGS THE BLOOD BACK TO SA WITH HELMET & MORE

GWAR returns to San Antonio this fall for what’s expected to be one of the most aggressive lineups closing out 2025 at Vibes Event Center. Known for their decades-long catalog and theatrical chaos, the Richmond-based collective will be joined by alt-metal mainstays Helmet, punk veterans The Dwarves, and local heavy act Blood Vulture.

The show falls deep into GWAR’s latest touring cycle, continuing their push following 2022’s The New Dark Ages. Helmet—having released “Left” in 2023—have remained consistently active, and will bring a lean, riff-forward contrast to the evening’s otherwise theatrical programming. The Dwarves, notorious for volatile sets, offer an unpredictable middle ground. Local opener Blood Vulture rounds out the bill with Texas-bred abrasion.

Doors open at 6:00 PM, and all signs point toward a high-volume evening that blends legacy acts with raw energy. This marks another notch in the belt for Twin Productions, whose consistent bookings have made them the primary force behind aggressive touring lineups in the city.
